So it’s to the owners of Apple branded mobiles and tablets that we’re turning here with the use of PS4 Remote Play, an iOS-based application that will allow you to control your PlayStation 4 directly with your iPhone.
How to use the PS4 controller with the « PS4 Remote Play » application on iPhone or iPad :
To be able to connect your PlayStation 4 to iOS, you will need to prepare a few things beforehand. First of all, you must check that your mobile is at least an iPhone 7, otherwise this will not be possible with our method. However, it should not be a problem if you do it on an iPad 6 or its successors.
In addition to your Dualshock 4 controller, you will need a PlayStation 4 (with your main account) on which you will need to create a secondary account if you do not already have one. It should also be noted that your console and mobile must be on the same network in order to be able to connect.

To get started, you will need to first download the « PS4 Remote Play » application to your iOS device to connect your console. You can download it from the App Store.
Check the number of downloads, overall score and comments to avoid downloading the wrong application. Once you have done this, simply install PS4 Remote Play on your mobile and launch it.

As mentioned above, you will need 2 PSN accounts to connect your PlayStation 4 to your mobile. Go to the session selection screen and choose « New User », name the user with a nickname of your choice and open this new session.

Once this is done, you will need to connect to the PSN via your secondary account, if you do not have a secondary account, this could be a good opportunity for you to create a new one.
→ Step 3 : Connect your PlayStation 4 and your mobile phone with the application :
Go back to PS4 Remote Play now and log in to the secondary account you just created (not the main account, otherwise you won’t be able to use the controller). Once your details have been entered, your mobile will try to connect to your PlayStation 4, which may take a while.
Then, you will be asked to enter a code in the application to validate the connection, the code is obviously in your console. Go back to the PlayStation 4 and go to « Settings », then « Remote Play Connection Settings » and finally « Add Device », you will find an 8-digit code.
Type this code into the PS4 Remote Controller application and after a few moments, you can then use your mobile as a screen, but also as a controller to play your PlayStation 4 games.

If the previous steps were successful, your Dualshock 4 controller should now be turned off. Press the PS button on your controller and choose to assign it to your main account, the controller should then be recognized on your console, and therefore, on your mobile.
